Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth …'” (Matthew 5:1-5)
At the beginning of His famous Sermon on the Mount, our Lord Jesus Christ made nine statements, all beginning with the word “blessed.” Many Bible teachers refer to them as wise sayings.
